The 2019 Palmetto Classic was a blast as usual! I finally was able to bring home a palm tree trophy!
Beach RC does an amazing job prepping the track and making racers feel welcome. I was really looking forward to this race as it was the first laps on my two new cars! The TLR 22 5.0 DC and 22 5.0 SR. It was also the final race for the 17.5 Trinity Monster Max motors which have been so dominant.
I took a different approach to this event than usual. Since I was starting out with new cars I built them to the box setup and really wanted to feel them out. I also prepped my tire foams 3 different ways to learn more about adjusting tires for the demands of the track.
I go into more detail in the episode and will continue to share these experiences as I go. I love these trophy events, they bring out the best competition and the racing is so good! I truly believe racing these events as often as you can is one of the surest ways to improve your skills.
